Become a Buddy Volunteer on our Ecotherapy Programme – Make a Difference!

Are you looking for a rewarding way to give back to the community and gain valuable experience? We're currently seeking passionate new Buddy Volunteers to join our supportive team!

As a Buddy Volunteer, you will be trained to assist people on their journey to mental health recovery through our ecotherapy programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills in support work, social interaction, and therapeutic gardening, all while helping to create a warm and inclusive environment for participants.

Training Details:

  • Buddy Training: A two-day in-person course, complemented by online learning at your own pace.
  • Training Dates: 9 & 23 May 2025
  • Volunteers are expected to attend these sessions to ensure they are fully prepared.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide informal befriending and emotional support.
  • Assist with garden tasks and help with the smooth running of garden sessions.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can participate and feel valued.

Commitment:

  • Volunteers must be available to attend the training and commit to at least one ecotherapy garden day (Wednesday or Friday) per month.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive further details about the training process. Upon completion of the training, an enhanced DBS check will be arranged.

If you're eager to make a positive impact and gain hands-on experience in a supportive setting, we'd love to hear from you!

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
