About Natural Neighbours

Natural Neighbours has a positive, forward-looking vision of towns, cities and neighbourhoods where wildlife flourishes alongside people. We recognise the basic human need to connect: with each other, with nature, and with ourselves. Research shows local activities that nurture wildlife help to build a valuable sense of community connection and wellbeing. Additionally, areas such as balconies, patios and window boxes have potential to bring the health-giving benefits of nature to neighbourhoods. Natural Neighbours is fusing these two concepts by bringing people together to nurture wildlife, using even the smallest of spaces to help nature thrive.
