Conservation & WildlifeEcology

We are delighted to announce a unique opportunity to become a residential volunteer on Lundy, a rugged island situated in the Bristol Channel Approaches. Immerse yourself in island life while gaining invaluable experience working for a high-profile Bird Observatory and haven for breeding seabirds and migration. Become an integral part of the conservation team, delivering the vital monitoring, protection and interpretation of the island’s wildlife. Main duties focus on monitoring the island’s seabirds, conducting breeding auk, gull, petrel and shearwater productivity studies and end of season report writing. In-house training will be provided, but prior familiarity with British seabird identification and/or ecology is advantageous.

Accommodation and all meals are provided for the duration of the role (April to August).
