Volunteer Assistant Ranger
Scottish Wildlife Trust
We are looking for up to 4 volunteer assistant rangers to deliver visitor and conservation management on Handa Island Wildlife Reserve.
You would undertake a range of duties such as:
- path maintenance;
- practical duties such as beach cleaning; maintaining the living accommodation;
- landing visitors and providing information to them;
- biological monitoring.
Roles would last for approximately 25 weeks (March to September)
Free accommodation & reimbursement of expenses provided.

- ability to handle the rigours of living and working in close proximity with others over a long period
- candidates who "wear well" with others and can work as a team
- sense of humour and positive outlook
