What skills will you gain?
- Public speaking & interpretation: Build confidence in delivering talks, tours, and workshops to diverse audiences.
- Environmental education: Learn how to design and deliver engaging outdoor learning experiences.
- Community engagement: Develop skills in outreach, event support, and visitor interaction.
- Data collection & citizen science: Gain experience supporting Shorewatch, our land-based monitoring programme.
- Teamwork & leadership: Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers in a dynamic conservation setting.
Your role will include:
- Delivering fun, engaging visitor experiences through tours, interpretation, and events.
- Supporting our Education Coordinator with outdoor learning and workshops.
- Assisting our Shorewatch team with data collection and volunteer support.
What we offer:
- Free onsite accommodation in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
- £35 weekly food budget per person (for food and household essentials).
- Comprehensive training and support.
Please note: This role is focused on community engagement and visitor interaction rather than field research.
Commitment:
- 5 days per week (including weekends) for the full programme duration.
