Anti-poaching Volunteer

This post comprises working in small teams to gather evidence of illegal bird hunting and trapping via video cameras, working covertly and calling the police to assist with the capture of wildlife criminals.

This voluntary post involves long days and shift hours and potentially stressful/frustrating situations. You must be competent at using a video camera, able to drive in difficult terrain, have good physical fitness and basic bird I.D skills.

The reward is knowing you have deterred the illegal hunting and trapping of hundreds of migrating birds, or hopefully gathered enough evidence to ensure the criminal is taken to court and faces justice.

There are several 1 or 2 week posts available various dates April 2026.

This is a voluntary position but shared self catering accommodation is included and flights will be reimbursed.
