The Assistant Ranger role is a voluntary, long-term residential position which supports the Island Ranger over the summer season. Work will include delivering estate maintenance around the village and holiday properties, keeping the island neat and tidy for visitors to enjoy and practical habitat management across the high-profile wildlife conservation site. The role is highly varied and a flexible approach is essential. LANTRA ATV training will be provided along with one other practical ticket upon completion of the season. The candidate will also be expected to undertake general island duties such housekeeping, recycling and luggage handling. Previous volunteers have gone on to further studies or jobs with Natural England, National Trust, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts and The Lundy Company.

  • Lawn mowing around the village and Landmark holiday properties
  • Maintenance of island infrastructure such as fences, dry-stone walls, gates and gullies.
