Assistant Project Officer
Partnership for South Hampshire / Solent Mitigation Partnership
The Partnership for South Hampshire is seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Officer to support the Solent Mitigation Partnership in delivering nature-positive, sustainable solutions that protect the Solent’s internationally important habitats.
You’ll help deliver nutrient mitigation and nature recovery projects, manage key administrative processes, support stakeholder engagement, and contribute to emerging work on Biodiversity Net Gain and Local Nature Recovery Strategies. The role includes coordinating credit sales, preparing evidence for planning applications, maintaining project data, updating website content, and assisting with research.
We’re looking for someone with a relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and numeracy skills, confidence with IT, and the ability to work independently while building positive relationships. A customer-focused approach, good organisational skills, and pride in delivering high-quality work are essential.
This is a great opportunity to develop skills in environmental land-use planning and contribute to meaningful, nature-based solutions across the Solent region.
